LARCAN in partnership with Smart Connection Consultancy were engaged to complete a feasibility study on Queens Park Swimming Pool – Future Infrastructure Upgrade Opportunities.
Project Deliverables:
Strategic engagement to write a future Aquatic strategy for the Moonee Valley Community. Project deliverables included:
- Demographic research of local area – current and future.
- Industry trends analysis.
- Operational review of facility operations to optimise visitation and financial sustainability.
- Competitor and gap analysis.
- Program review and feasibility.
- Review of strategic documents and Council commissioned reports on LGA and local site.
- Design advice to meet local community needs current and future based on outcomes of the research and engagement.
- Investigation of funding streams to support future works and developments.
LARCAN completed analysis of the existing site, community research and engagement, design recommendations and funding options for Council consideration. LARCAN also Identified emerging trends which influence the future direction of the facilities and using this knowledge to inform design options for facility redevelopment based on community needs, identified through community research and stakeholder engagement.
Three recommendations for design options to meet community needs with clear rationale and cost analysis for Council.
Funding options for redevelopment, based on design recommendations were also provided.
